This policy explains what information AI News Nepal uses, why and how. The site is run by AI Nepal Media Network. We follow Nepal’s Privacy Act, 2018 (2075 BS).
What we collect
- Reader accounts: your email, name and the stories you save.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Contact form: your name, email and message. It reaches us by email and is not stored on the site.
- Server and security logs: IP address, browser and pages viewed, to keep the site secure and fix problems.
Cookies and browser storage
- A cookie remembers which stories you read for 24 hours, so one reader isn’t counted many times.
- Signing in to an account sets a cookie that keeps you signed in.
- Your colour scheme (light/dark), recent searches and the fact that you closed this cookie notice are kept in your own browser and never sent to us.
Other services
- Facebook: the comments on story pages come from Facebook and load only when you reach them. Facebook’s privacy policy applies to them.
- YouTube: videos load from YouTube only after you press play.
- Advertising: banners are currently served from our own server. If we add an ad network, this page will be updated.
- Maps: the map on the contact page comes from OpenStreetMap.
Use and security
Your information is used only for your account, the newsletter and replying to you. We do not sell it, and we do not share it unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
Accounts are kept until you delete them, newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe. Server logs are deleted automatically after a short time.
Your rights
- You can delete your account and saved stories from My account.
- Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- To see, correct or delete your information, contact us.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated. Last updated: September 2026.
